Berlin, Germany – 14 April 2026: During the Ukrainian-German government consultations in Berlin, Quantum Systems announced the establishment of two additional joint ventures under the “Build with Ukraine” initiative, further expanding industrial cooperation between Germany and Ukraine.
Following the successful launch of Quantum Frontline Industries (QFI), together with the Ukrainian manufacturer Frontline Robotics, the company is now advancing two new joint ventures: Quantum WIY Industries (QWI), focused on strengthening air defence capabilities together with Ukrainian partner WIY Drones, and Quantum Tencore Industries (QTI), dedicated to unmanned ground systems in partnership with Tencore.
Strengthening Ukrainian Air Defences: Quantum WIY Industries
Quantum WIY Industries (QWI) builds on the recently announced partnership between Quantum Systems and WIY Drones. The joint venture will focus on advancing and scaling air defence capabilities, particularly in the field of interceptor drones and related technologies.
“From the very beginning, the mission of our company has been protection — of our country, our infrastructure, our homes, and ultimately the world from attacks. What may seem like just a small signature on the paper is a contribution towards making the sky over Ukraine safer. We are truly grateful to our German partners and the team at Quantum Systems for making this possible and for their trust and support,” said the CTO of WIY Drones.
The establishment of QWI follows the tasking of Quantum Systems by the Security and Defence Forces of Ukraine, to deliver 15,000 interceptor drones Strila.
Unmanned Ground Systems: Quantum Tencore Industries
Quantum Tencore Industries (QTI) marks the expansion of Quantum Systems’ “Build with Ukraine” initiative into the land domain. In partnership with Tencore, the joint venture will focus on scaling the production of battle-proven unmanned ground systems.
The initiative builds on Quantum Systems’ broader strategy to establish a multi-domain portfolio, integrating aerial and ground capabilities into a unified and battle-proven technological ecosystem.
Hendrik Kramer, Vice President Land Domain at Quantum Systems, said: “The future of defence is multi-domain. With Quantum Tencore Industries, we are bringing together real operational experience from Ukraine with advanced autonomy and industrial capabilities to shape the next generation of ground systems.”
“This partnership is about more than technology — it’s about combining strengths. No company or country can build the future of unmanned systems alone — only through true partnership do we have a real chance to succeed. Together, we are building solutions that make our countries stronger and, most importantly, help protect and support the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the ground,” said Roman Tkachenko, Co-Founder & CBDO of Tencore.
Success model: Quantum Frontline Industries
The announcements follow the successful establishment of Quantum Frontline Industries, the first joint venture in Europe under the “Build with Ukraine” initiative that is operated together with Ukrainian partner company Frontline Robotics. Since its launch, QFI has rapidly moved from announcement to production, demonstrating the scalability and effectiveness of the German-Ukrainian co-production model.
Matthias Lehna, Vice President at Quantum Systems, said: “Ukraine’s defence demonstrates how critical unmanned systems have become for modern defence. Through our joint ventures and close cooperation with Ukrainian partners, we aim to bring this combat-proven expertise into German and European industrial structures, making a concrete contribution to strengthening defence capabilities in Ukraine and across Europe.”
The announcement underscores Quantum Systems’ position as the leading company in German-Ukrainian industrial cooperation in the defence sector. With these two additional joint ventures, Quantum Systems continues to scale this model across domains, reinforcing its role in strengthening Ukrainian and allied defence capabilities.
