Event 38, a leading designer and manufacturer of fixed-wing VTOL drones, is looking for an aircraft deployment specialist to prepare aircraft and customers for successful deployment in the field. And if a technical issue arises, customers will turn to you for help investigating the source and finding a solution.

Essential Functions of the Aircraft Deployment Specialist:

- Deploy: Develop and lead accessible, valuable training programs with the goal of empowering customers to complete their missions successfully and independently.
- Connect: Start building rapport with customers from the point of purchase, and maintain strong, trusting relationships throughout the training process and beyond.
- Educate: Develop and teach classes, webinars, and other sessions on drone use, and maintain training manuals and documentation.
- Support: Answer ongoing customer questions about their products and help them maintain their equipment and operator proficiency.
- Maintain: Consistently update operating manuals and standard operating procedures to reflect new features, software upgrades, and other changes.
Responsibilities:
- Install aircraft avionics and perform sensor calibrations.
- Test-fly production aircraft before delivery.
- Prepare aircraft for shipment.
- Train users around the world, both in-person and remotely.
- Troubleshoot technical problems with customers remotely.
- Develop product user manuals and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Execute quality assurance processes.
- Support demonstration events.
Requirements:
- You must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
- You must be able to travel 8-12 times per year with increases to potentially as much as twice a month. Please note: This may require vaccinations, including the COVID-19 vaccine, for international destinations.
- You must have strong written and verbal communication skills and computer skills.
- Relevant technical experience is strongly preferred.
- You must have or be able to obtain a Remote Pilot Certificate under the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Small UAS Rule (Part 107).
About Event 38 Unmanned Systems
Event 38 started in 2012 as a one-man operation. Our founder, Jeff Taylor, sold his first drone in a matter of weeks. Less than six years later, over 500 Event 38 drones had been deployed all over the world. We’ve sold drones on every continent, including Antarctica, for projects ranging from endangered habitat monitoring to remote mapping and surveying.
Today, Event 38 is a global leader in long-endurance, vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) aircraft that fly autonomously. We are the proud manufacturer of the E400. The E400 is the product of a close partnership ship with the US Air Force, who invested over a million dollars into the development of the E400’s proprietary VTOL technology. And in 2023, we launched the E455, a larger variant that can carry as much as 12 pounds of payload.
If you want to join a team of passionate engineers and technicians and be part of the next generation of flight, then Event 38 is the place for you.
