Following successful internal testing, PR-DC announces the introduction of what it describes as the world’s first military-certified multicopter capable of launching three aircraft rockets. Testing demonstrated that the system can withstand the impact of rocket launches from all three launch positions during both hover and forward flight. This represents a major step forward in the development of armed multicopters and highlights the growing capabilities of such systems.
The IKA-ROCKET (pr-dc.com/ika-rocket) is based on the IKA-20-M drone, a certified military grade hexacopter designed for autonomous day and night operations and capable of supporting multiple mission-relevant payload configurations in accordance with defined operational requirements.
The demonstrated rocket-launching configuration highlights the adaptability of the IKA-20-M platform and its ability to support multiple armament options within a modular operational concept. To date, the system has been configured to carry both aerial bombs and rockets.
