Weybridge, UK – 4 March 2026 – Sony is delighted to be exhibiting at Amsterdam Drone Week (ADW), taking place from 10-13 March at the city’s RAI Convention Centre alongside InterTraffic, the world’s leading trade show on mobility and traffic technology.  

The company will be showcasing its comprehensive portfolio of imaging and sensor technologies designed for the commercial drone sector, with use cases including mapping and surveying, infrastructure inspection, security and surveillance and, increasingly, construction and traffic safety. 

Sony’s aerial imaging solutions and partner ecosystem enable customers to unlock the full potential of their drone operations by capturing the highest quality images, simplifying workflows and developing tailored applications to remotely manage and configure multiple drone cameras.  

The Digital Imaging team, who will be representing the company at ADW, will illustrate how they work closely with systems integrators and end users to develop bespoke solutions for new use cases, using a combination of technologies, cameras and lenses as required.  

From a product perspective, Sony will be presenting: 

• The ILX-LR1 – a full-frame professional camera specifically designed for drone and industrial applications. It features a 61.0 effective megapixel full–frame image sensor, in a compact and lightweight camera body, with interchangeable E–mount precision lenses, allowing users to see details that would be invisible with conventional drone cameras.  

• A selection of cameras from the latest Alpha series, supported by Sony Software Development Kit (SDK) for OEM integration, and the FCB-ER zoom camera block series. The FCB-ER9500 is Sony’s first 4K/60 block camera, delivering stunning detail at 60fps. Powered by STARVIS 2, it ensures exceptional image quality from low light to bright scenes, with wide-to-telephoto versatility and industry-leading WDR. With precise optical zoom, it offers unparalleled versatility in capturing fine details across various industrial environments and is ideal for inspection and observation. 

• The AS-DT1 – the world’s smallest LiDAR depth sensor, designed for mid-range applications with accuracy at 40-metre range in a compact 29mm cubic form factor weighing under 50 grams. With a 30fps refresh rate, Simultaneous Localisation and Mapping (SLAM) and built-in Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), it is ideal for integration into drones and robotics, especially for applications such as inspection, object avoidance and landing. 

• The AS-DT1 mounted on the Sony ILX-LR1 – a powerful sensor fusion providing high-resolution, photogrammetric imagery overlayed with 3D, depth-mapping and point cloud data. Ideal for inspection tasks such as turbines and power lines. 

• Camera Remote Toolkit – software that empowers developers to access and control Sony cameras (or a mixed-manufacturer camera environment) and lenses remotely.   

• Strong ecosystem partner network around the IXL-LR1 to ensure smooth systems integration, for instance with Gremsy, Airpixel, CubePilot and Auterion. A full drone solution with Acecore Technologies will be showcased on the stand.
